During the manufacturing process, the thread is combed, singed by flame and then double mercerized. It is this double mercerizing which gives it its beautiful sheen. 3-ply size 80 thread. Made in France. Ideal to make very fine and delicate lacework such as edges of handkerchiefs, doilies, collars, gloves etc. Size 80, 100yd (5 gram) ball. Wash at 95 C/203 F. Chlorine proof. Can be tumble dried low. Do not dry clean. Can be ironed at low heat.
